Specimen Revitalization
Specimen revitalization and sample cleanup is a meticulous procedure that can play a crucial role in the production of healthy cannabis plants, especially from outdoor samples or samples of questionable origin.
When this service is selected we will send you a small kit that includes instructions on how and what to collect from your plants to be sent to our facility (Plants must be alive, we can’t fix dead!). From this collection we will prepare a sterile specimen, that after establishment, we then return to you for your fresh start with your prized genetics!
When cannabis specimens arrive in a diseased state, we then use our proprietary methods to eliminate any pathogens, molds, or contaminants that may be present. Next, the process involves carefully removing a small aseptic section of the plant, known as explants, and placing them in a sterile growth medium under controlled conditions. This environment allows the explants to grow and multiply, creating an aseptic culture free from any diseases or contaminants found in the original specimen. The aseptic culture can then be used for further propagation, genetic selection, or breeding programs, ensuring the future production of healthy and disease-free cannabis plants of that same genetic stock. Through this rigorous sterilization and cleanup process, the genetic integrity and quality of cannabis strains can be preserved, while also eliminating the risk of spreading diseases in future crops.
